Martingale has a program when you buy one of their books you get a card stamped and when the card if full you mail it into them for a free book of your choice.

Wednesday, Jan.18th is "Fat Quarter day and all cut fat quarters are $1.75 instead of $2.50. This does not include the packaged fat quarters or fabric on the bolt. I will stay open till 6pm only on FQ Wed. to try to accommodate those who work. We will continue this every 3rd Wed. of each month, so Feb. date is 15th.

I would like to thank everyone who is participating in donating or buying patterns that benefit the Tender Heart Rescue group. We recently gave them a little over $100 that everyone so generously donated. Linda Palermo sent us a very nice thank you card. So please continue to bring in patterns that you don't need but someone else may want. Every little bit counts!

Coupons will be coming out in the Coweta Shopper again later in Jan.-Feb. The paper hits a different area each week over a 3 week period. So keep a look-out.
There is also a coupon in the 85 South paper that you may find in restaurants.

New rewards program--
Starting Jan 1st every time you spend money in the quilt shop that purchase amount goes towards your reward amount. When you reach $250 in sales ( not including discounted merchandise) you will receive a gift card of $25 that can be used in the shop.

Almost Christmas!

The store will be closed until Jan 3rd for the Holidays and inventory. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

I have enjoyed being home today to wrap presents and do a little baking. My daughter & her fiance arrived safely from Denver despite the weather. Moose is taking a nap and the birds are taking their weekly bath since it is sunny and warm.

During this Christmas Season when we all have so much to be thankful for I hope you will remember the ones without voices, the ones we promise to love and take care of, the ones we have domesticated and the ones we cannot....

A Prayer for Animals

Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals,
especially for animals who are suffering;
for animals that are overworked, underfed and cruelly treated;
for all wistful creatures in captivity that beat their wings against bars;
for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry;
for all that must be put death.
We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals,
and so to share the blessings of the merciful.

Sewn with Luv News for November 1st

Primitive Quilts Winter issue magazine is now avaiable, limited quantities available.
I just got back from Quilt Market on Monday afternoon, and brought back samples of some of the lovely fabrics I saw. It was great fun seeing people like Ricky Tims, Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler and Jason Yenter, to name a few! Lots of beautiful new projects to sew and I had a really hard time making up my mind what to buy for the store.



Picked a block of the month that I hope will be something many of you will want to participate in.

I also picked an applique quilt that will be easy enough for those new to applique and classisc enough for all.

Look for these projects to start sometime after the first of the year.
