New Fabrics - Kasuri & Silent Cinema

We have Kasuri a new fabric line from Moda. This line works really well with the Daiwabo fabrics that are also in the shop. Lots of new jelly rolls are on the shelves as well as other new fabric.

Jodi Barrows is coming to visit our quilt shop!!!

Over the past twenty years, Jodi has remarkably touched thousands of quilters throughout the world with her unique method called Square in a Square®. Her point of view provides the quilter with the freedom to create most any quilt design with speed and accuracy.
Jodi has spoken to quilting audiences throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Italy and S. Africa.
She has appeared as a guest on several quilting shows, including TNN’s Aleene’s Creative Living, TNN’s Your Home Studio, Perfecting Patchwork on Family Net TV and a pbs series with Kaye Wood. HGTV has shown her commercial on the quilting techniques she developed during the show Simply Quilts.
The Square in a Square® system is a process that anyone can implement in most any design. Jodi has written twenty-four books (ten of which have been on the best seller’s list), four novels, produced four tools, two video/DVDs and five teacher’s books. Additionally, she has a series of pattern books and fabric lines based on a series of fiction novels that were written from the 1856 time period about the Mailly women. This series is based on the women in Jodi's family.
She also has a Certified Teacher’s Program in the United States, Canada, Austrailia and Europe. Well I am off to Denver again for my daughter's wedding!  While I am away the ladies may be dreaming up some specials for you, so please check each day to see what is going on at the shop.
I know it is hot outside but the Christmas and fall fabrics are in and it is never to early to get started on your holiday projects. The fall fabric is from Timeless Treasure and is quite beautiful with a metallic touch.
When you come in the shop please make sure you get yourself signed up for the drawing to take place in  November. We will be giving away a "Little Go" accuquilt cutter with a couple of dies. You can cut those great 2.5 inch strips that are so popular with this die cutter. One ticket per visit so come back often!
Classes coming up
_Toni Steedly's Serger class will be on Thursday August 9th.  This is a class I know all of you with sergers will want to take.  She will be teaching you how to make some really quick and easy holiday gifts. See her samples in the store. Please call and sign up right away. 770-304-1866
Laura Bosma's wool craft class will be on the second Tuesday of the month, the 14th. There is more than one project for that day so please come in and look at the samples. ( And of course pick up your raffle ticket!!)
Valerie Cuttie's Beginning Fabric Basket Making will be on Saturday, the 18th of August. A great class that requires very little fabric to make a quick gift. Sample in the store
Eileen Reid will be teaching a quilt making class called "Double Trouble". This is an off-shoot of the disappearing 9-patch technique. Sample in the store.
Class will take place on the Wednesday the 29th of August 10-2pm.
Jane Spain will be teaching a purse making class on Friday August 31st. Jane has been making  & selling some exceptional purses and by my request she has agreed to share her sewing talents with us. See her sample in the store.
Class is 10:30-2:30.

This quilt was made by one of Sewn with Luv's customers do you recognize the fabrics?  So beautiful with the butterflies fluttering throughout the quilt!  These fabrics are still available.
